Free Coach’s ticket with USSA Coaching Card. One coach ticket per 6 racers.

Note: Spectators can walk up to the base of the racecourse and view the race.

Team Angel Fire is an organization under the direction of the Angel Fire Resort – Ski & Snowboard School.  Our Mission is to provide ski and snowboard instruction, coaching and competition management to the youth of the Moreno Valley.  Our goal is to promote a high level of skiing and snowboarding and to help each Team Member achieve the highest level possible.

FreeRider

The FreeRider Team is designed for beginning skiers and snowboarders ages 5 to 12.  A new program for Age 4 for ½ day will also be provided for skiers only, depending on interest.  The program focuses on fundamental skiing and riding skills and includes a brief introduction to gate training and freestyle skills.  The program runs for 10 weeks during the season and concludes with a parents ski day and Fun Race.  The coaches are all experienced members of the Angel Fire Ski and Snowboard School who specialize in teaching and coaching youth.  The groups will be split by age and ability and will train with the same coach throughout the season, when possible.  This is a great opportunity to develop skills in a non-competitive environment.

This program is available for skiers from Level 1 to Level 4 and Snowboarders Level 1 to Level 3.

FreeRider Program:

  • Ages 5-12 Fridays or Saturdays – 1 Day Program
  • Age 4 ½ Day Friday Only
  • This program is based on a minimum of 4 athletes
  • Hours 8:45 – 3:00 pm
  • 10 total training days
  • First Day on Sat.  Jan 17th,   following training days on Friday.


Tuition:  $325.00 if register by Nov. 17th  /  $375 if register after Nov. 17th 

 

Intermediate

The Intermediate team is designed for intermediate level skiers and snowboarders, ages 6 to 16 who want to improve their technical skills.  The goal of this program is to advance each team member’s technical skills through structured technical exercises and to instill in Team Members a love and passion for snow sports that will last a lifetime.   Also, there is a brief introduction to gate training and freestyle skills.  The intermediate team is encouraged to participate in the Fun Race program as well as USASA events. The Intermediate program will be offered in a one-day format.

This program is available for Skiers at least Level 5 and Snowboarders at least Level 4.

Intermediate Program:

  • Fridays or Saturdays (Day determined by Entries)
  • This is a 1-day program
  • This program is based on a minimum of 4 athletes
  • Hours 8:45 – 3:00 pm
  • 12 total training days


Tuition…………………….$410.00 if register by Nov. 17th / $460 if register after Nov. 17th

FreeStyle

The Freestyle program is for skiers and snowboarders ages 7 to 19, interested in learning freestyle aerials in the terrain parks and half pipe.  They will train exclusively in freestyle and free riding, with no gate training.  Team Members will be expected to compete in USASA freestyle competitions (half-pipe, slope-style, and boarder-cross/skier-cross).  The TAF Freestyle Program will be offered on Saturdays ONLY.

Must be at least a Level 7 Skier or Level 5 Snowboarder according to the Snow Sport Ability Sheet.

Freestyle Program:

Saturday Only
This program is based on a minimum of 4 athletes
Hours 8:45 – 3:00 pm
12 total training days
Competitive Athletes will require membership in USASA.  This is at additional charge and not included in the team tuition.
Event fees and travel Expenses are the responsibility of the athlete and are not included in the tuition.
Additional Coaching fees may apply for out of town events.

Advanced / Competitive

The Advanced/Competitive Team is comprised of the top skiers and snowboarders who desire to train and/or compete at the highest level of junior competition within the Rocky Mountains and the United States.  The goal of this program for skiers and snowboarders ages 9 to 19 is to fully develop skill fundamentals through increased practice on competitive courses and through the opportunity to participate in sanctioned competitive events sponsored by the USSA or USASA. The Advanced/Competitive Team program will be offered in a two-day format.

Events:
USASA – BoarderX/SkierX, SlopeStyle, ½ Pipe, GS/Slalom Snowboarders
USSA – Slalom, Giant Slalom & Super G Skiers

Must be at least a Level 7 Skier or Level 5 Snowboarder according to the Snow Sport Ability Sheet.

Advanced/Race Program:

Saturday and Sundays
This is a 1 or 2-day program
This program is based on a minimum of 4 athletes  (Additional Charges may occur if less that 4 athletes)
Hours 8:45 – 3:00 pm
24 total training days (exact dates to be determined)
Competitive Athletes will require membership in USSA and/or USASA as appropriate.  This is at additional charge and not included in the team tuition.Race/Event fees and Travel Expenses are the responsibility of the athlete and are not included in the tuition.
Additional Coaching fees may apply for out of town events.

Tuition…………. $780.00 if register by Nov. 17th  /   $830 if register after Nov. 17th
